Hola! 

My name is Monique. Thank you for stopping by. Back in December of 2017, my family and I wanted to have a fun night of gingerbread house making and cookie decorating. It was a no brainer for my family that I would be the one to bake the cookies. I’ve always enjoyed baking, just not cookies. Everything else, but cookies! Let’s just say they’ve always ended up in the trash. Well, I ended up baking gingerbread cookies, which were a success. Next thing I know I’m googling sugar cookie recipes and baking the first one I came across, another success! Fast forward to April 2018, my little cookie gig was born. Piece of Cake and Cookies. I started off baking for close friends and family; I was too nervous to bake for strangers. But little by little my name was being shared and now I was booking people whom I did not know. Being a self-taught cookier, I’ve watched countless videos, attended a few classes and followed some gracious cookiers. Not to mention a lot of trial and error. 

I quit my full time job to be a stay-at-home mommy to our beautiful daughter. Now baking cookies during nap time and at night is how I run my business. When I’m not baking, I enjoy outdoor activities like playing on a co-ed softball team with my husband. As well as traveling the world as backpackers. That has been by far the most adventurous thing I have done, and loved the experience.
